Light, Dark - the Neuron and the Axon
Light, Dark presents the reader with another dimension for understanding the universe by examining its subtle energy level. Joe Scogna understood well that subtle energy could have more impact on a human than a gross form of energy. Whatever occurs or causes an effect on a cellular or quantum level will cause an effect simultaneously on the greater level of organized life energy.
We live in a harmonic universe - it was not created out of chaos. Scogna explains that the actions of the individual cells are geared toward survival and reproduce themselves following that genetic, harmonic plan.
On the physical level: A nerve cell receives input data from branched dendrites, duplicates the impulse, and sends it along to other neurons by way of the axon.
On the energetic level: each component has a distinct personality, plan and desire following the genetic mechanism: together these create a holographic image of man and cell.
Scogna writes, "To create the proper holographic picture of an individual, the nervous system and especially the complicated multi-polarity neurons are needed to direct electrical energy in harmonic ways to contain the process of holography. The body itself is a hologram. It is a three-dimensional image of colored light and non-colored darknesses (invisible), which depends on the crystalline structures of nerve cells and the 800 trillion other cells that receive and transmit information concerning the configuration of the body."
Just before writing this book, Joe had completed much of his work with frequency counters and infrared detectors to locate what he called the gravinometric or nervous system venting sites on the body. At these sites, the nerves relating to specific organ and gland systems release their invisible, heated energy. He cataloged trends and syndromes on how energies of the body interact and what the various combinations of symptoms could mean. Our physical symptoms, as well as sensations, pains and emotions, are messages we were meant to decode. The language for decoding these is both a mathematical and a grammatical language called SAF (Self Awareness Formulas), which uses a combination of numbers and words to depict our emotions, our attitudes and physical functioning across 880 subjects (see: companion book SAF Simplified).

"Joseph Scogna's use of infrared to catalog the venting sites of the nervous system is a monumental leap forward in the evaluation of human physiology, psychology, and spirituality. He has given us a unified approach to our holistic health status - past, present, and future."
